Every Muslim should analyze the reasons for our downfalls and and despondent state that we are currently in. We must seek to remove these causes through concerted methodical efforts and strategies. We cannot expect our condition to change through erratic, hysterical outbursts; we must become proactive instead of acting out impulsively. Ways to improve the condition of our Ummah include : - Organising our priorities and seeking to mobilize the spiritual and intellectual resources of the community to strengthen and protect our Ummah. - We should reach out to other communities and co-operate with all the peace-loving people, regardless of their religious or ethnic affilliations. - We must recapture the essential universal, ethical values and ideals of Islam and accentuate them, rather than being ossified on dogmas and rituals.
