A Muslim should be good and just in dealing with others, no matter what their religion, and take special care to keep away from all the shameful and sinful things Allah has forbidden.
Islam requires us to be of good character because it is our inborn nature to feel calm and tranquil and to respect those who are of good character. Those with good character are also honoured by all regardless of race or religion, and they will bring goodness to this world. This is because good manners as preached by Islam are the universal trait which is revered by every human. Actually, we do not have to go around searching for the right qualities to be displayed. We just have to consider what is seen as good by man, and that is the good character which is taught in Islam.
